Anslow-Bryant Is an APEX Award Winner
The Awards for Project Excellence (APEX) is a prestigious award ceremony created by AGC Houston to honor construction firms. The biennial event recognizes firms for their excellence in the field, valuable community contributions, demonstrated skills, responsibility, and integrity.
Anslow-Bryant is a proud APEX award winner for two commercial construction projects that brought valuable spaces to our community.

While Anslow-Bryant completes many commercial projects in a year, there are a few that stand out among the rest. This year, we earned bronze and gold APEX awards for two of our commercial projects.
The Flores Library Renovation
We earned the bronze award for the Flores Library renovation — a project we took on for the City of Houston. The Flores Library Renovation allows Houston residents near the east downtown area access to information and capabilities for research and education. Flooded during Hurricane Harvey, and subsequently vandalized, this area of Houston lacked a public space to facilitate learning and development. With the new renovation, the Flores Library now offers a forum for information, with outdoor learning spaces, teen areas with new technology, and meeting rooms.
In partnership with English and Associates Architects, we brought the library’s new space to life. Higher ceilings, an open floor plan and big windows with natural light make this library cool and comfortable for hours spent with the shelves of books. We’re proud to have elevated this community space for the residents who value it most.
Sid Richardson Residential College Project
Rice University came to us with the need for a new residential college. This building needed to be multi-functional to support dorms for students along with social spaces and study areas.
This project earned us the gold APEX award for the stunning final product. With plenty of natural light, eye-catching angular ceilings, and a height that stands out on campus, this project is one we’re incredibly proud of. Our connection to our community is what we value most, and we created a memorable space for thousands of Rice University students.
