Being green is actually a lot of work–it involves thinking about your processes to a further degree. It’s not all that easy to install geothermal well systems. Planting and irrigating hundreds of plants on a sloped roof isn’t exactly a walk in the park. Does recycling your construction waste sound like a piece of cake to you? But for us, the challenges of being green are half the fun.
What do we have to show for all of this hard work? Having built the highest ranking LEED Platinum building in Texas gets you a pretty cool award. But what’s even better than that? Knowing that all we’re doing, all that we’re creating, and all that we’re conserving is not just for us to enjoy but for our kids, our families, and our friends.
It’s not easy being green, but it sure is fun.
