BP High-Performance Computing Center
Market: Office
Project Type: New Construction
The BP High-Performance Computing Center is a standout building on the famous Houston Energy Corridor. This highly technical three-story, 100,000 SF precast building serves as BP’s worldwide hub for processing and managing its geologic and seismic data. The facility currently houses one of the world’s most powerful supercomputers. Designed to resist hurricane-force wind and rain, heavily reinforced CMU walls can withstand winds over 120 mph, and design elements were incorporated to ensure that water can not stagnate in the case of extreme rainfall.
