Energy Institute High School
Market: K-12
Project Type: New Construction
A new learning institute for students interested in a career within the energy sector. The buildings share a centralized courtyard that can be used for outdoor learning. The exterior facade consists of gypsum partitions, open ceilings, floating ceilings, and polished and sealed concrete floors. The classrooms are separated by moveable partitions and overhead glass doors to allow for an open concept learning environment.
This project included an extensive VE process in the pre-construction phase, offering nearly $3,000,000 in savings to the district, of which $1,600,000 was accepted. Examples of items accepted included alternate stained concrete versus pavers and wood science casework in lieu of stainless steel.
