You will pay millions of dollars for the office building, school, or technology center of your dreams. But what happens two months after you’ve moved in and the carpet starts to roll up? Or the doors start to jam. Or windows start to sweat. That is why quality is important from the moment we walk on a site.
Quality in construction matters for each step along the way. You have to have a quality site to build a quality foundation to build a quality floor to install quality flooring to hold up quality framing to have quality drywall to have quality paint to have a quality building.
Life is too short. Be safe, do great work, have fun, finish strong, and make as many friends as possible.
Our rule of thumb when we question the quality of something is “would we accept this in our own house?” If the answer is yes, it’s probably okay (we’re pretty picky people) but if the answer is no… why are we even asking?
Quality saves on upfront costs but also those later on down the line. Quality workmanship, quality materials and quality people, all save money in the end.
